Sincerity

First of all, Have an "Eid mubarak" to our Muslim friends! May the celebration motivates everyone to forgive each other and to be sincere.

Speaking of which, I once was given a project of an illustration strips for a short story about goodwill. I thought it'll be an inspiring one to share, so, here it goes:
One day, there was a poor kid outside a ice cream shop, stopping by just to check on his favorite ice cream. With a small amount of money in his pocket, he got in to the shop.

When he got to choose which flavor he wanted, he took quite a time to decide it. Thus, leaving the rest of the queue, especially the shop assistant peeved.

Even though he could opt for the pricier type of ice cream with the money he had, he finally chose the cheaper one instead. He rushed to a nearby table and enjoyed his ice cream, leaving the shop assistant still in anger.

He went away as soon as he finished his last spoonful of ice cream. The shop assistant was about to clean his table when she found some money tip left on the table. She eventually realized the reason why the boy insisted to get the cheaper ice cream while he could easily spend the money on the pricey one was to share with her some of his happiness.

It always got me thinking that today, we are so overloaded with whatever the media could feed us, especially with the rising number of any sort of crime reported on the news. As a result, subconsciously, we might start to lose our faith on believing in someone's goodwill. There's nothing wrong with being watchful though, just keep in mind that we have to learn how to appreciate every benevolence in the first place :)

Post-Hiatus...(part 2?)

Well, because I just realized I already had a post titled just the same. Only God knows when the last time I remembered I have a blog to be updated.

Sorry for not posting anything on this blog for awhile! I've been pretty busy with everything in life but I'm enjoying every seconds of it! :D This time I didn't come empty-handed because I've got some artworks to be shared with the world! *drum rolls*

This is a cropped version of what happened to be an artwork gift for Rebecca, a person who first I knew as a mentor in music and later, become a person I always looked up to in every other thing. She's heading back to the US tomorrow to pursue a PhD in conducting (yes, conducting orchestra, like how cool is that?) and she is one of very few people I considered a true role model, simply because her integrity, passion, and that kind of strive-for-excellence attitude she always brings with herself. All of that qualities combined with a spiritual belief that everything she has is blessing from Thy Lord.

This illustration actually was given to her last two years in the form of a messy drawing. I was planning on polishing it into a decent illustration while she suddenly asked me if I still had that messy drawing sketch with me. Just in time!

Check out the full version of this artwork here http://febepe.carbonmade.com/projects/4237616#7 and feel free to browse through the gallery :)

Oh and one thing, who's dying for BBC's Sherlock season 4 here?
